Gonda: Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal visited the Prithvinath Mahadeva Temple with her family and offered prayers to Baba Prithvinath. During her visit, she inspected the temple premises and reviewed arrangements related to devotees’ convenience, cleanliness, security and other facilities.
Nagpal conducted an on-site inspection of various development, beautification and public convenience works being carried out at the temple. She reviewed the progress of ghat beautification, tourist shelters, external site development, horticulture, tourist facilities, electrification and other projects.
She sought information from the concerned officials regarding the progress of the works, their quality and compliance with prescribed standards.
The Divisional Commissioner directed officials to ensure that all ongoing development and beautification works are completed within the stipulated timeframe and without compromising on quality. She also instructed that completed works should be improved wherever necessary to make them more organised, attractive and useful, ensuring better facilities for devotees while enhancing the appearance of the temple premises.
She said the Prithvinath Mahadeva Temple is an important religious and historical site that attracts a large number of devotees. Therefore, special attention must be paid to ensuring that visitors face no inconvenience.
She directed officials to strengthen and streamline cleanliness, lighting, drinking water, seating arrangements, access routes, the ghat area, parking and other essential facilities. Remaining and proposed works should be completed within the prescribed timeline, while regular monitoring and review should be ensured at every stage.
Nagpal particularly instructed officials to develop tourist facilities and other public amenities in a manner that benefits both local devotees and tourists arriving from outside the area. Cleanliness, safety and an attractive appearance should receive special attention in the development of the ghat and surrounding areas.
She stressed that development activities should be undertaken in a planned manner while preserving the religious sanctity, cleanliness and natural beauty of the temple premises. Completed works should be inspected regularly, and immediate corrective or maintenance measures should be taken wherever required.
The Commissioner directed the concerned officials to continuously monitor all arrangements and ensure that every devotee visiting the temple receives a clean, safe, accessible and comfortable environment without facing any inconvenience.
